[Waking up with something really heavy over his feet was quite startling at first, but when Peony sits up to see that it is one of his loving little rappigs... well? The manly squee of joy that follows his surprise travels loudly enough throughout the house to wake just about everyone.]

[Find Peony doting on cute little Jade in the living room with food and pet rubs galore. OR. Find the cute little rappig running around the house between the rooms with open doors, and expect Peony to show up shortly after to retrieve him.]

Greetings, Luceti! I have an exciting event to share with you all~ [He moves off screen for a moment, but when he comes back, he's holding up a rappig with a blue collar.]

Oh, and Gailarda? I'm counting on you to report to work tomorrow. Can't have my little Jade growing grossly overweight from staying inside all day.

[The voice sounded familiar and Souji opened his journal in time to see the ecstatic Emperor and the adorable rappig. He quickly switched to video and replied.]

O-oh! Is that your Jade~--

[But because he can continue a pig has shoved its face straight into the camera. WHO ARE YOU STRANGE OTHER PIG???]

[Wow, the first thing Peony notices before the strange pig shoves his way into the camera is how Souji looks a lot like that child - Souji's younger self - from before. But he isn't too sure of the recollection because of the pig. The cute rappig relative pig~]

Indeed he is-- oh, and who's this?

[Seemingly slower than the average rappig, Cute Jade stares back for a couple seconds and then swishes his little ears and legs at the image of the other piggy. NO, WHO ARE YOU NOT RAPPIG PACK-FRIEND?]

[But again, he's shoved out of the way because HEY, HEY YOU WITH THE PINK AND THE EARS. HEY.]

[Saizou is scrabbling at the journal now and Souji has to lift it up and out of his reach, showing them both from an aerial view as the pig turns circles in his lap trying to get at the book.]

I'm trying to talk to the nice man. [He tilts his head back so he can look into the video camera.] Hello~ That was Saizou. It seems he's very interested in your cute little Jade.

[All Peony can do is watch the scene and try to keep himself from laughing, because it's so cute. At the same time, Jade starts wiggling around more, making it hard for Peony to continue supporting him, and thus gets set down.

But that doesn't stop Jade completely as he then persists in moving his snout upward, half into the shot, trying to sniff the magical journal and the EXCITED NEW FRIEND.]

Yo. The feeling seems to be mutual for my cute little Jade here. I guess we just might have to set up a play-date!

[He hears that cry very clearly, even from the second floor. And most notably, he distinguishes the tone. That makes it clear exactly what kind of "Jade" he is referring to, and that the emperor is not currently being strangled by some sort of replica of him - although Jade can't but entertain that such an option might be preferable to this.

Jade sighs and strides his way downstairs towards the living room, making a slight adjustment of his glasses as he enters.]

I take it we're having bacon for breakfast.

[Peony doesn't need to look back to know it's his uncute Jade because the footsteps gave him away long before striding in the living room. And he wasn't going to look back either, because it's been too long since he seen cute Jade and the rappig needed all his attention, but then that was that remark, so he turns his head slightly to give Jade a feigned, but knowing, quizzical look.]

Nothing at all! You must have heard a draft coming through an open window. [He says with a sly grin.] Incidentally, I recently found the most charming recipe for pork chops. [And as he's saying those last words, he leans down to pet at the rappig's head.]

[With how Peony is looking over at Jade this time, he can't hide his mild displeasure nor pretend he didn't hear that one. His lips pull down at the sides, but he still lets Jade move in to pet Cute Jade.]

Uck! ...I think I lost my appetite. You can count us out.

[Well, well, here's a face he recognizes a little from quite some time ago. And by how she puts emphasize on Jade's name, he can guess that maybe it'd be wise not to mention the rappig's namesake. Not yet at least, until he knows for sure.]

[Oh, well, hello there. He's not going to say it yet, but a friend kind of, sort of told him a little about her. And Peony likes all beauties, so he smiles at her almost instantly.]

Well, I might be able to walk you through it and find the equivalent in your calendar system, if we were to try! But, then again, I don't think it really matters. See, Jade here loves everybody! And I'm pretty sure he's happy with your kind words, too. [And as if to relay the good feelings, Peony ruffles the rappig's soft fur on top of its head, earning a happy snort. Yes, such a darling animal, indeed.]

Is that so? How fortunate, then, that I do not put so much stock into signs. [ Ororo smiles, unable to help herself since. The rappig really was quite adorable, and Peony just seemed so proud of that. ]
