Jade doesn't react to Saizou right away, but eventually copies what the smaller pig is doing, hooves spread out in front of him and ears perking to the sides, as well, making an X-shape. This is a game though, right, right, right? Said rappig now is watching attentively for the next move to copy.]

No, no, they're just starting to get to know each other.

[Saizou snorts in confusion, watching the ears move and tries to twitch his ears like that, but it doesn't work. He only has tiny pig ears and they flap, but not much else. Instead, Saizou jumps to the side and snorts, lowering his head again. PLAY TIME.

Meanwhile, Souji covers his mouth with one hand, laughing quietly.]

I haven't seen him so excited in a long time. Does Jade-kun have many friends to play with here?

[Peony isn't as quiet in his laughter as a half chuckle, half amused snort of sorts escapes.]

Ah, well, there's Colonel the dog. But what he really misses interaction with his own kind. There are five others back home, unfortunately. But let's focus on how it's good that there's his pig cousin like Saizou here.

[His own little rappig posse, but right now Jade's not thinking about them, only about following along with Saizou's movements. So with a hop, the larger rappig side steps with awkward footing because it's not as successful as a jump, and in such failure his head bobs and ears bounce before lowering to an equal level.]

Oh, then we should definitely make this a weekly thing. Saizou only has Tammy and Fish the chicken to play with and Fish isn't very good about playing. She usually runs away.

[Souji leans over a little, peering down at the strange little dance their pets are doing. Saizou bobs his head, too, and then hops to the side again before crawling forward to sniff at Jade. You're a strange pig, friend, but you seem to be a pig nonetheless. Hello.]

They seem very happy to have found each other.

Ah, there's an idea I can get behind. Same day, same time?

[Well, well, aren't the piggies seeming to get along? Peony also peers down at them and decides that Jade may be okay without the leash. So while the dance continues, he clips it off as quickly as possible to remain unnoticed. Don't want that rappig to bolt if he does, after all.

At the same time, Jade brings up his snout to lightly bump the pig's. No, you're a strange rappig, little friend. But this a fun game.]

[omfg pig friend, why did you just kiss him!!!!!!! Only Saizou is a pig, so he doesn't really care much and he just shoves his nose right back against Jade's, snorting.

Souji laughed a little.]

That sounds wonderful. It'll be good for them both to have friends to play with every week.

And Saizou, you can't shove Jade like that. You're half his size.

[Saizou snorts again and pulls back, sitting on his back haunches to look up at Jade. Hello, Jade, Saizou thinks you must be a mommy pig or something because you're as big as his mommy was.]

[Jade freezes up momentarily almost as if to question why the little pig was suddenly offended with his love and let's his head tilt to the side. Peony nods at Souji's statement.]

And it certainly healthier for them to have something so similar to their kind to play with, too.

[Not like he doesn't think Colonel the dog was a good friend for Jade, but you know. Rappigs and pigs need to stick together.]

And if you look at. Jade, you look just like a mommy rappig. Just be careful how you play with your new friend, now.

[Wait, mommy pig? Almost sensing this, Jade uses his super secret mommy powers by sneaking closer when the other pulls back and sniffs and rubs at the neck. But really it's curiosity and encouragement to continue playing. Why did you stop, little baby rappig? Is it the because of the human background noise?]

[Souji laughed and nudged Saizou with his foot slightly. The piglet oinked at being nudged and at the familiar sensation of having someone nuzzle at his neck and snorts, crawling forward to bump his head underneath Jade's snout. Then he squeals and starts running circles around Jade, hopping every so often.]

Really, I think it's more likely I should tell Saizou to be careful. He might trip poor Jade if he isn't.

[Peony watches for a second or two more after Souji's comment, then chuckles. How the pigs were interacting was just an adorable sight he thought he'd never see again, really, at least in the first couple of months following his arrival. But now he was glad he was wrong.

Saizou was a lively little thing compared to Jade and, really, the rappig couldn't follow the piglet as he ran around and around him in circles. The rappig would try, turning his head left when the piglet ran by him and right when the piglet came right back around, but that didn't work out too well. The end result? Jade got minorily dizzy and sat on his cute little rear with a drawled out buu noise.]

Ah, you were right. No harm, no foul, though; the size difference is just something they'll have to come to learn to play around.

Size, and how terrible Saizou can be sometimes.

[The comment brings the pig to a screeching halt and he looks up at Souji with narrowed eyes, snorting at him unamused. As if to prove that he SO CAN TOO get along with Jade, Saizou backs up and sits down next to the rappig on its back haunches as well. With the two pigs sitting next to each other, Souji laughed a little at their size difference.]

Well, that seemed to work. Shall we start the walk once Jade's head clears?

Don't worry about that-- He'll follow us or more likely Saizou once his head clears.

[Like he says, Jade recovers soon enough! And in noticing Saizou having moved to his side, the rappig nuzzles the pig again. This game of mimic the leader wasn't over yet.]

He's such a little cutie. Are all rappigs like him?

[Souji takes Peony's advice and taps his leg before moving ahead to walk with the emperor. The tap is enough to call Saizou's attention, but before he can get up, his big not!mommy pig is nuzzling him. Saizou snorts and closes his eyes, ears flicking at the familiar sensation. He turns his head and shoves his snout up against Jade's for a moment, then gets up and backs away, oinking quietly.]

Not exactly, though they all have equally cute little quirks.

[Seems appropriate that after receiving a kiss from Saizo, oh my, or rather a face full of snout, Jade snorts and swings his little rappigy head. And with that, he is a little distracted until Saizou is already ahead by - a lot. He follows to catch up shortly after. Dooon't go, little pigmate.]

[Souji looks back over his shoulder, laughing softly at what he can see as Saizou races after both humans.]

[Saizou reaches the humans and stops, looking back over his shoulder at Jade. Hurry up, pigbuddy! The food givers are leaving.]
